Father Ron Zanoni
Fr. Ron was born and raised in Stockton, California, one of 6children. After attending local schools through high school, he then studied civil engineering at the University of the Pacific in Stockton for 3 years. Then, after a two-year break, he returned to engineering studies at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California, and in1982 earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering. After working as an engineer for Nevada Power Company for 17 years, and after a long time of discernment, Fr. Ron entered St. Patrick's seminary in Menlo Park California to study to become a Catholic priest for the Diocese of Las Vegas. He was ordained to the priesthood in May of 2005, and since then has served in several parishes in Southern Nevada, including St.Joseph, Husband of Mary, St. Peter the
Apostle, St. Christopher, St. James, and most recently, St. Andrew in Boulder City. In 2016, Fr. Ron was also assigned to be the Director of Vocations and the Vicar for Clergy for the Diocese, and he continues to hold the position of Vicar for Clergy today. Fr. Ron is also chaplain of Retrouvaille of Las Vegas, and is on the board of Nevadans for the Common Good. Fr. Ron loves the outdoors, and in his spare time takes advantage of the many hiking opportunities in Southern Nevada.
